Gear List

Digital Format

D300 body with 28-70 AFS, 70-300 AFS & 12-24 AFS Nikon lenses; all that I need. In fact. would love to just shoot with one lens if it were possible either to carry or to buy.

Nikon are pulling out all the stops this year to keep the competition at bay … the new D7000 is offering full HD video recording as well as being an excellent DX camera. It’s not a D700 replacement which is a FX sensor body, when that gets upgraded then it will be awesome. Rumour has it the D800 is on its way.

All Nikon lens are getting upgraded with Nano technology and better vibration systems, but they still cost as much or more than the body. The latest lenses are all first rate and the lens to have is the f1.4 85mm … superb!

35mm Format

I still have a F90 body with a 50mm F1.8 lens. Both sadly stored in their boxes and awaiting the day that I give them away to a museum as I can’t see any kid wanting to buy a camera, load a film with 36 exposures, not see the results until the lab decides to process in less than 24hours and charge pennies for the prints.

Medium Format

Now totally worthless but the case contains two Bronica ETRSi bodies, film backs and three stunning lenses – 75mm, 28mm and 150mm. See above but even moreso.

Video

HD camcorder by Sony with 3CCD. Supported by Sony wireless microphone units and Elinchrom lights.

Hardware

The wonderful Apple G5 PowerMac, now getting slower but revitalised with a new HD and a full re-install.
